New Overdraft Rules for ATM & Debit Cards

New Federal Reserve rules give debit and ATM card users additional options regarding overdrafts.
Beginning July 1, 2010, banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions must offer all new customers the ability to make decisions about overdraft services for transactions made with your debit or ATM cards.

Beginning August 15, 2010, banks, credit unions, and financial institutions must offer all existing customers the ability to make decisions about overdraft services for transactions made with your debit or ATM cards.
